Gisele MacKenzie & Perry Como: 1960 musical tribute to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Gisele MacKenzie often mentioned that there were a lot of songs about a lot of nice cities, but none about her hometown, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Perry Como fixed that in 1960 and put Ray Charles and Mitchell Ayres to work on this production number that pays tribute to Gisele's hometown. Along the way you'll hear gems like 'Way Up Yonder in Winnipeg, Winni-peg-of-my-heart and What Did Winni-Peg Boys?, as the snow falls and dancing Mounties arrive on the scene. Gisele manages to crack Como up, as she often did with her regular comedic exploits with greats like Jack Benny & Sid Caesar. There is little doubt that Gisele MacKenzie was one of the finest, all-around talents to come out of television!

Up Here,In Canada - Clark W.  To our neighbours around the world, whether you are local, provincial, national or international, Jacqui and I share this special musical tribute with you to enjoy. Cheers.
